1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Signivis SRL ("Resu.com", "Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in Romania, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your personal information when you visit our Resu.com website or use our mobile applications (collectively, the "Services").

Note: User registration, authentication, and the ability to save or download resumes are currently available only to users located outside of the European Union.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data in an open and transparent manner. Please read this Policy carefully to understand our practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Data Controller

Signivis SRL, with registered address at Sos. Trandafirului, Nr 6, Tomesti, Iasi, 707515, Romania, is the data controller responsible for your personal data collected through the Resu.com platform.

3.1 Information You Provide to Us

When you register, subscribe to our services, or use our resume-building tools, we collect:

  • Payment Information: Credit card details, billing addresses, and other financial information needed for subscription payments. Payment processing is handled by our payment processors, and we do not store complete payment card information on our servers.

3.3 Social Login Information

When you choose "Sign in with Google" (implemented via Auth0), we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google solely for the purposes of registration and authenticating your account. We do not access any additional Google data.

  • We process the information you input to generate suggestions, content, and formatting recommendations for your resume.
  • The quality and accuracy of AI-generated content depends on the information you provide and the capabilities of our technology.
  • You maintain responsibility for reviewing, editing, and approving any AI-generated content before using it.
  • We may use anonymized data to improve our AI capabilities and enhance the quality of suggestions.

We do not make automated decisions based on AI that have legal or similarly significant effects on you without human oversight.

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. This typically includes the period of your active subscription plus 90 days after account deletion, after which your personal data is fully deleted or anonymized.

We determine the appropriate retention period based on:

  • The purposes for which we process the personal information
  • Whether we can achieve those purposes through other means

However, personal information associated with your resume content will be deleted or anonymized within 90 days of account deletion.

9. International Data Transfers

Resu.com is based in Romania (European Union), but we may transfer, process, and store your personal information in other countries where our service providers are located. These countries may have data protection laws that are different from those of your country of residence.

When we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area (EEA) to countries that have not been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, we use specific contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Standard Contractual Clauses) or other appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal information receives an adequate level of protection. These safeguards are designed to ensure that your personal information is treated consistently with EU data protection laws.

We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the security of your personal information. Resume text data is encrypted and stored with our trusted service providers in a compliant manner, and is only decrypted when you need to access your data.

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. 13. Subscription Model and Privacy

Resu.com operates on a subscription model with a 7-day paid trial period. During the trial and subscription period, we collect and process your personal information to provide our services. If you cancel your subscription:

  • You will continue to have access to your account and data until the end of your current billing period.
  • After your subscription ends, your account will remain accessible but with limited functionality.
  • If you choose to delete your account, your personal data will be deleted or anonymized as described in our Data Retention section.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The updated version will be indicated by an updated "Last Updated" date and the updated version will be effective as soon as it is accessible.
